More awakenings in the garden

It has been another cold windy day but the garden is coming alive.

This is another new small prunus called Nipponica Brilliant.
It is now in bloom but I have kept it in greenhouse as I didn’t want the wind to blow the blossom away. Perhaps tomorrow will be the day when it can go in the garden !!

very nice tree, yes the wind is a bit wild isn't it. We had a bike ride and the trip was very 'bumpy', even with our combined weight we were buffeted about.

is the last one a cardamine?

Good idea Marjorie , keeping it in the green house. I hope this wind dies down soon !

The Prunus is very pretty and well worth protecting. We have very strong winds again tomorrow and then it begins to calm down again.

Eileen I was going to ask that question but I forgotšŸ˜”
The photo doesn't do it justice as the flower is a lilac colour and it has self set everywhere but I don't pull it up as it is very pretty in Spring. Any idea?

it looks like Cardamine pentaphylla [showy toothwort]. did I give you some when you visited? I have it in the side garden where the yew tree used to be. I think it also has an underground rhizome.
