My 14 year grandson loves making cakes last week he made a cheese cake out of Nigella,s cookbook he bought his mam for Christmas , I taught my daughter & son to cook and iron their clothes etc ,and I would tell them it,s not that I want you to do it for me but I want you to know how to do it ,enjoy your treat mark 61 -:)

Some of the best pastry chefs are male. Maybe Jordan is looking to this line of work. Our son was a military chef and won a number of competitions during his apprenticeship, and after. He really enjoyed the work.

That´s great, Mark. I have never met a man who would be able to bake, that´s true. But my two nephews, who live in America, they were six year old and were able to prepare breakfasta nad lunch for 4 persons. Like little monkeys, they were climbing on kitchen shelves for different peppers while giving me a lecture in a same time. They are adult now, but I was impressed for many years to see them cooking in such age.
But, to be honest, your son has skilled father, so he is after father :))

They look good, my dad loved baking and we loved eating them, the smell of baking still reminds me of Dad.

Good to see Jordan is becoming independant and thinking for himself.
I used to bake cakes aswell lol ... so I know what fun it is :o))

oh, i just remembered i once made a chocolate cake using some coco-cola ~ it was really nice.

Hi Sticki funny you should say that he is making a curry when he goes back to school after the half term and he is looking forward to it already asking us for suggestions as he can choose.Not sure about a chocolate cake with coca cola that can be all jordans lol but i will probably try it .

I do keep hinting at a beer cake got plenty of cans in the fridge for that mmmm lol:)))))

curry is good! there are so many different things you can do with it but be careful when you cut up the chillies!!!

im sure there is a recipe for a cake with guinness in it?
