Nearly Christmas again already!

It’s amazing how fast the last year has gone. Today i need to sort out all the Christmas presents, get them wrapped, and probably realise i’ve missed some so i’ll need to go out for some more! I will be glad when that job’s done.
As soon as i’ve done that i shall be heading down to the greenhouse to pick off all the dead foliage to try and stop the tubers rotting. I must admit i haven’t been down there for a little while, it’s been so cold.
I shall need to get the greenhouses brushed out and cleaned, then smoked out ready for the start date. Next year i shall try starting at the start of February because the bulk of my plants are producing their best blooms after the Shrewsbury show has finished, but there were some brilliant plants for the smaller shows afterwards.

Merry Christmas, Mark. Steel yourself to go in that greenhouse! Although the weather here has been milder today.

Thanks for your comments. I would also like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I've discovered that the 2nd greenhouse thermostat is bust, it's empty of plants now, lucky they all fitted into the other greenhouses. Tomorrow i shall continue picking the rubbish up in the other greenhouses. I will leave cleaning them out until after Christmas though!
I will have to get the heating fixed in that greenhouse before i need to start using that house again.

Sounds like you have all your plans sorted, especially for the greenhouse. It will be interesting to see what difference it makes getting early work done in February.
Best wishes to you and family for a Merry Christmas.
