This week we decided to have the very old Leylandii cut down….it must have been about 30 years old, with multi trunks. The branches were encroaching on the cottage next door…..good to be rid of it.There seems to be much more light now.
The clematis I have included is “Fond memories”…..such a delicate colour. This is it’s second flush.
The other photos are random ones.

Looks like a good decision - well worth the effort! Your garden is looking as lovely as it always does.

Lovely garden. Leylandii make great hedges but they do tend to take over. We have our hedge cut once a year to prevent this from happening. Laurel hedges need constant attention!!

So much better, they can become a nightmare, we have a neighbour who has several, and has decided to just let them be......crazy!!

Your garden looks lovely as always. That Leylandii looks enormous, there must be a lot to clear away, then there's the roots but you'll gain a goodly space as well as light. Mammoth task!
