Artist's palette of rich colours....Westonbirt Arboretum.

Yesterday we headed off to visit the Arboretum expectant to see the Azaleas,Rhodis and Acers. We weren’t disappointed…….
Naturally, the day started with a coffee and rather large slice of chocolate cake…..armed with camera and spare water bottle we set off.
The vibrant colours were spectacular……around each bend of the pathways we were suddenly struck by yet another blaze of colour.I wasn’t able to find the names of most of them, sadly.Their labels were hidden by overgrowth.
The following photos are just a few we saw that day.I hope you enjoy…..and if you are ever near Westonbirt Arboretum,it is well worth a visit.

On our way home we called at Tetbury. In the middle of the town was an attractive Market hall painted in that warm, mellow Cotswold colour..Just along the road a Wisteria had managed to climb a telephone pole!

The 14th photo was a very large Variegated Holly. The 15th ,a photo of the Tree top pathway.

Gosh, it all looks so lovely and warm! My daughter is moving south to Dorset this summer, so I shall be visiting the southern counties at long last! I can’t wait to see some of these places! :)

What lovely photos. Looks a good place to visit. The wisteria is amazing going up the pole like that.
