Tidying up a scruffy corner.

The first photo shows a Leylandii hedge which is always having to be trimmed….to cut down on tedious work,we decided to have Ray,our tree man, to cut in half widthways back to the bare wood ,if you know what I mean….we had the panelling extended also to hide the ugliness. The small area where the panel didn’t reach has been planted with a Grisilenia shrub to match the existing one on the left.Hopefully it will fill the space quite quickly. Added a few alpines and a Clematis Montana fragrant which will very quickly grow over the panel.

That’s the last project for 2021….it was a necessary one and one that will help us in the future.!

A clever idea and it has worked really well.

I echo the words already said, it certainly looks smart now.

Very innovative and a great outcome, Julia! Love it! I think it really looks an attractive corner now.
Can I ask, the ornamental grass next to the pool, did you prune it? I ask only because I’ve trimmed a couple of mine, and I wasn’t sure if I’d done the right thing?

I do agree, it’s a lovely transformation!
Thanks for the info, Julia, appreciate it. ☺️

The blue fence compliments the shed I think.
