Hi There everyone

Well the day had to come for cleaning the greenhouse out for the seeds I need to plant.

First I had to clear out much junk that had accumulated and that was a job in itself!

I got the jet washer out as I like to give all the frame work and nooks and crannys a good old blast to make sure any nasties will not be lurking there to spread any disease, after that I filled a bucket up with jeyes fluid mixture and brushed all the glass to ensure a good sterilization.

The greenhouse looked quite grotty really and was getting on my nerves

But it’s gleaming and smells lovely and clean now

I know there is still a bit of stuff in there but it will find it’s rightfull home quite soon!

I can’t wait to get this scene back soon!

And then this one!

But as always, guess who gets the best seat to enjoy it all!
Of course………….Sapph does!

Hi Treesandthi

It's a couple of hours job really, I stink of jeyes fluid, I can get some order back hopefully.

Its one of those jobs that needs doing but I keep putting it off. I like yourself have to empty all sorts of pots seed trays and other stuff. Its not going to be a quick job.

Lol, trouble is the weather has just been so relentlessly cold and wet that it's been a real chore to do anything and get motivated but if we don't well miss planting deadlines and that will be it for the year.

It is Tulsa, good for the soul I would say, I'm going to sow my sweet peas in a bit, I bought some special root trainers for that purpose, My sweet peas cost me £1 for 3 packets of johnsons seeds from a book shop in Bristol, Brilliant, there called Sugal almonds and skylark, their like pastel type colours but I will swap with my friend for some hotter colours too!
Do you grow sweet peas Tulsa?

Doesn`t it smell lovely after a blast of Jeyes fluid? I cleaned my greenhouse thoroughly at the end of September and again a month ago but now I`ve done the planting its a right mess again. Once the seeds have grown and the plants all out I`ll start all over again...sigh! :o(

Hi Labdancer

I was going to do mine in the August but it never happened, it was minging this time! and the pic never really told the horrible truth, Lol
Do you use your greenhouse as a sort of holding place for junk too like me?
it's a half way house between the house and the shed!

Hi Sanbaz

She's called Sapph, she's about 16 and so dainty and small, in fact she's a feisty woman with a wicked right paw and a razor sharp claw!
She made the dogs nose pour with blood years ago but she's a lot calmer now, I call her Babesy! she follows me around the garden.

Shiny and clean, thats a job well done Micky, I use Jeyes in mine and must admit I like the smell of it, I can`t clean mine yet, its too full at the moment so this year my bottom greenhouse will get done first, I don`t heat the bottom one at all so can`t chance moving anything tender into it......
I can see why you are hankering after that scene, its lovely and so is Sapph...
