Growing your flowers by the moon

It isn’t just your vegetables that can be grown by the moon to get even better results in your flower garden the seeds should also be following the lunar cycle.
In May and June this means you would be sowing seed, or potting your seedling on, on the following days: 18th and 26th May (both three star flower days); 3 (pm) – 5 (am), 14 and 22 -23 June (these last two being three star days).
Seeds you might think about sowing are: Astilbe, Aubretia, Campanula, Canterbury Bells, Delphinium, Dianthus, Digitalis, Erigeron, Euphorbia, Freesia, Gentiana, Geum, Hollyhock, Kniphofia, Leontipodium, Lavender, Lillium, Meconopsis, Oriental Poppy, Papaver, Primula, Pulsatilla, Saxifraga, Sedum, Sempervivum, Silene and Veronica.
Below are some of the flowers we grow that you could be sowing seed of now…
Saxifraga paniculata
Saxifraga oppositifolia
Dianthus pavonius
Pulsatilla vulgaris
Gentiana acaulis

I just love the Pulsatilla pic, I have a thing about feathery leaves - love 'em.
It's really interesting planting and sowing by the moon cycles, thanks for the info. I'd heard about it before but never really thought about it until now. I'll mark my calender and may have more success than usual.
I like the saxifraga oppositifolia too, very pretty.

Great pics and scree bed - I particularly like the pulsatilla and the gentian. Let's hope my pulsatilla spreads like yours, this is only their second year, but they are looking pretty good.
