Wondered if anyone can give the instructions on how to look after these(do not know the name off them) and what do with all the little ones growing on the sides.

It looks like some type of echinopsis .The little ones can be separated and made to root on their own.

Echinopsis I think aswell. You can take the offshoots away and grow them separately - but they'll only get more offshoots so you're going to have hundreds of them in the end lol. I leave mine form nice big clumps. They look more natural.
Keep them dry and cool in the winter. They may flower for you . They have beautiful flowers.
