youngest son is a drummer ~ thats what made me think of it.
oh! just realised ~ you are not so far from him!! he gives lessons!!!
24 Jun, 2011
Sorry Mushy you will just have to live with being 50. Only consolation next year you'll be 51 LOL.
I actually enjoy being 50 something, I beginning to do and say some outlandish things I wouldn't have dreamed of a few years ago.
And I use the excuse.... I'm a granny and grannies can.
Stickitoffee.... Like your marketing tactics. Do you get commission from your son for all leads you get him????
24 Jun, 2011
and do you wear purple grannyb?? [ref: Jenny Joseph's poem; http://www.netmender.net/glenna/Purple.htm]
24 Jun, 2011
definitely not Grannyb!!
i wrote that idea before i realised mushy is in the next county.
son was on local radio tonight and i was listening while i was on here ~ thats what gave me the idea.

Amy
Cheers Amy you know how to cheer people up .
I would stay up late if i didn't keep nodding off watching telly
I have a 1984 Honda VF1000 it like me old and knackered
Ps where are the music keys on a keyboard I'm sure i haven't got any on my keyboard ?
Grannyb
Now that's a grand idea I'm going to become Victor Meldrew and get away with it..:o))))

Next county ??? At least 4 away if your in Worcester..LOL
24 Jun, 2011
no, im in worcestershire but son lives in suffolk.
24 Jun, 2011
I thought that as well Mushy maybe they don't know where Norfolk is !! Mushy click on ALT and at the same time click 1 & 3 ( 13 ) over on the right hand side numbers not the ones on the top of the key board thats for single notes ALT and 1& 4 ( 14 ) for double notes .. try it !
24 Jun, 2011
HAppy birthday Mushy and heres to another 50 years!!!
Better warn your family of that!!
24 Jun, 2011
Fifty? Think positive Mushy, it means you're closer to retirement, and gaining your bus pass, lots of concessions will be available, the winter fuel allowance ... so it's not all bad ... lol! Many happy returns to you.
24 Jun, 2011
Happy birthday to you Mushybanna, hope you have had a good day! :))))
24 Jun, 2011
Happy 50th Birthday Mushybanana! Been there a couple of years now, but I'm getting used to it now! Hope you had a lovely day! :0)
24 Jun, 2011
Happy Birthday to you - My daughter says that peachy coloured clothes, nylon cardigans and pleated skirts always make you look old so don't start wearing these will you or you'll certainly look old (according to her anyway)? And definately NO blue rinse in your hair ! So it's shocking pink, purple and red for you from now on, OK ? LOL
25 Jun, 2011
Mariek
Yikes im certainly going for pleated skirts with my hairy legs LOL
Libet Shirly, tulip, kfunsters and Michella thank you for the wishes i have decided that i am now 18 with 32 years experiance ..LOL
Amy
i must have an old computer (like me LOL ) i tried it but does not work on this one :o(((
25 Jun, 2011
Doesn't work on mine either - I don't have that numeric keyboard on the side of the computer.
25 Jun, 2011
Thats a shame I thought it worked on all of them ! do you have a numeric key board down the right hand side Mushy ? my comp is 4 years old, you need to press the ALT keep that down then press 1 keep that down while you press 3 try it again you have to do it in order !! ☺ ☺ can you do the little face ☺ it is ALT and then 1 ☺☺ ..... :o)) I hope you have recovered from your life changing situation yesterday ,I love the fact that you are now 18 with 32 years experiance Lol . ..
25 Jun, 2011
Btw, my mum comes from Norfolk so I do know it but only a little bit.
25 Jun, 2011
late greetings mushy.. still a year younger than me, i cant believe it either, where do the years go i ask lol
you could do a bungy jump or a parachute jump.. i wouldnt but im not as mad as you haha happy birthday x
25 Jun, 2011
Sticki where did you mum live ?
25 Jun, 2011
She came from watlington, it's only little. Do you know it?
25 Jun, 2011
Amy
I'm on the note book at present due to main computer having the blue screen of death again and this doesn't have those no's on the side
Thanks San
I don't fancy a bungee jump having put on some extra pounds i would worry the cord was too long and i wouldn't go back up ...LOL Hope your ok now have missed you :o))
Stickitoffee
Don't Watlington will Google map it
26 Jun, 2011
Getting older is not so bad when you consider the alternative!
For a 'real treat'...find a nice quiet country churchyard, lie down among the tombs, close your eyes, listen to the birds and remember you are the only one lying there who can get up and leave.....LOL
26 Jun, 2011
I don't really know it Sticki except for passing through on our way out of Norfolk ,it's the other side of Kings Lynn on the edge of the Fens... :o))
Expat I think thats a wonderful way to know that there's life in you yet Lol....
26 Jun, 2011
Expats
Magic..... i'm going to do that :o)))))
26 Jun, 2011
50 is not old. If you were a dog, you'd be 350 by now!
26 Jun, 2011
It's very odd you should have the blue screen mushy - I have that too - is it terminal?
26 Jun, 2011
Stickitoffee
Mine happened last week and i keep trying to get it going and it still just sits there lauging at me as if to say
"well, what are you going to do now "!!!! LOL
So it could very well be terminal if it doesn't work take it to your local compter expert they may be able to sort it out
27 Jun, 2011
I may have to, luckily I know a good one not too far away, It will start off if I do the control, alt, delete thing but if I use the recommended normal start it just dies, on safe start I get a limited amount of stuff on the screen. I have to export all my stuff to an external hard drive, this lap top has been mended once, I think it's time for a new one, not a lap top this time, nice large screen I think. Not sure whether to look at apple or stay with toshiba?
27 Jun, 2011
lol mushy, can just picture that haha you not bouncing back up with your bungy jump lol
im alot better thanx and have missed your humour :o))
27 Jun, 2011
Sanbaz
It did truly happen to a woman in the states. She jumped
off the platform and went down only the cord was too long. They said she was a foot shorter afterwards.
Sticki
I would go for an apple they just look soooo good and usually work well .they are just so expensive
Mine won't even start now it just switches on and the blue screen has a little flashing curser in the top left corner.I'm sure its grinning at me from behind the screen LOL
27 Jun, 2011
Couldn't you just hit them? Will apple store lots and lots and lots of photos?
I'm tempted by apple I must say, thought I could save a little money by not having the lap top??
I think you can now get word for apple?? I use that a lot.
27 Jun, 2011
Stickitoffee
The bigger the storage the more photo's you store 8gb will store about 8,000 so if you have 320gb hard drive thats more you can take properly.Apple has its own version of word which is just as good my friend swears by them and will only get apple stuff
28 Jun, 2011
Yes I know they are really good, my son has them and works with computers all the time.
This is an iPad I'm using now - so it makes sense to have the same.
This is very nice to use. Does all sorts but it doesn't have flash player and I don't think I can upload photos to this site from it.

Happy belated Birthday Mushy. My younger Daughter was 35, the same day as you turned 50 yrs young. lol.
She was born that very hot Summer of 76, which would have made you, 'sweet 15' lol.
Hubby used to play drums, but now plays guitar. (its a lot quieter) lol.
28 Jun, 2011
Cheers for the wishes Lindalooloo...Did try and play the guitar but i have the rhythm of a dustbin LOL
