Humming bird photos

Now that I have gotten used to my best digital camera, the photos just get better and better.
This one was taken this morning with the sunlight beaming down behind my main humming bird feeder:
The lighting and exposure rate seemed about perfect, so I snapped another one before the hummer flew away:
I had no idea that the camera was capable of such incredible effects.

I wish we had hummers in England! Great shots, how exciting to capture them in this way

Actually, the photos were shot using the "default auto exposure" setting, where the camera "calls the shots".. :-)
The camera has an advanced "sports setting" that I haven't tried out yet, but it is supposed to freeze fast action. I'll have to try that out on the hummers..
