An old visitor from last year!

One of my favorite wild critters from last year showed up on my patio tonight in my hanging basket!
This is one, I named, “Larry the lizard” last year. Haven’t seen him in quite a while and he was taking a “snooze” in my variegated English ivy hanging basket:
He hibernated in another hanging basket over the winter and I just left him alone to see what would happen and my little buddy is alive and well!
He eats bugs and other things in the garden and is a pleasure to watch! What a cool native creature.. :-)))

There are some lizards on the Isle of Wight which we saw the last time we holidayed there. Yours looks right at home.

the only lizards I get to see are anoles & skinks, but they're small. I want to have big impressive lizards in my garden, but we're a little too far north for that.

He's not a horned lizard and I'm not really sure what species he is, but I've seen him catch and eat spiders and moths that hang out on my patio, so he's a "cool character" in my book!
