Now that we have a much better TV, I had to integrate it into our wall unit and provide room for the DVD player and the cable box. I purchased a few cheap pre-finished shelving planks from Home Depot and modified them to support the new TV and provide space for the other components. Here is a view of the room with the old TV and arrangement. This photo was taken last Christmas:

Now that the new TV is in place, it fills the area much better and my “mechanical engineer” is doing his “final inspection” of today’s project:

Yes, the “engineer” was measuring the dimensions of the latest “cubby hole” that was created to make sure that it was “cat friendly”… {chuckle}
