Lovely Place for Coffee - Part II

i like the roses in the front, they complete that perfect coffee moment, cld you smell them?
mountain towns are so different.

Not San Sebastian, Resi - sorry for the confusion! This is a hotel fairly close to my local town where we went for coffee and I posted the blog a few weeks ago. Sadly, the roses there don't seem to be doing too well this year. They were magnificent last year - when I didn't have my camera with me!!!!

i have noticed that the wild roses this year were't a patch on last years magnificent show, and the same goes for my own roses, neither as abundant or as long a season, here's hoping for another good one next year.
on the plus side, i dont know about your nick of the woods but we have an 'almost' plague of ladybirds, the proper ones, opening the shutters of one of the rooms which hadnt been opened for a week, there were hundreds of them, the big parasol when opened had an enormous colony in there, lovely to see them making a come back, i have to restrain myself from pinching the greenflies of the roses now... LOL

Lovely, Nariz. I had no idea "sage" could be so pretty. Saw a different variety in a garden yesterday . . . very tall, with dark foliage and small purplish/blue flowers. I love anything with dark foliage!

Resi : if the dark clouds are coming from my way - look out for drizzle! It's spoiling our visitors' holiday right now!

Sheila : I was also surprised that it was a sage! I tend to think Sage is the herb plant and Salvia is the short red plant that my Dad planted between white Alyssum and blue Lobelia for the Jubilee Year long ago when dinosaurs walked the earth! Wish I had the room in my garden to plant such a lovely blue drift - they deserve a large space.
