the doves and me...

Thank You all for trying a solution!
The story was this: Of course everywhere in the city´s heart are doves, and I never minded them, till they decided to nest between the window-frame of my bathroom and the roof.
First I thought, they just were sitting on the small wooden bench of the window; and I made a little board with nails in it. But then, standing right down ang looking up, I noticed them pointing just between, where there was a little slit between the planks. Again upstairs, I thought, maybe to put some plastics inside the hole, so In fetched a long stick with a nail on top of it and pierced some plastics onto it. I leaned out of the very narrow window with my pierce in one hand, the other hand holding onto the frame and leaned out. One of the doves sat on the next roof and looked on me, quite near. While I tried to stick the plastics into the slit of their home, hopen to frighten them, trying hard not to fall down the 4 floors, she looked very interested and somehow with gentle irony. She was like saying to me: Cool down, lady, it´s ours and You cannot reach it. – She was right. The wind took all the plastics and what else I tried, and it flew in the Garden below. I had to pick it up (2 × 4 floors), and they still are enjoying their home. When I come from work: THEY are in the balcony; when I awaken in the early morning: THEY are much earlier, ruckooing since dawn. And two weeks ago, when I came to my bedroom, which opens to the balcony: THEY had come in and were inspecting my room. Somehow they even take time to notice, what I´m doing next. THEY are really interested on me…..
No, no, no. I don´t want to poison them….
Maybe I buy one of the plastic-ravens and put it right on the balcony, – but I don´t think it to be effective.

It does sound as if you will have to get a builder in to seal the hole.
