Soulful eyes! Are you going to frame it in banana trees?! Do you work from a photo or just hang out at the zoo a lot? Win or place, the drawing's very detailed and moving.

thank you orgratis i work from photos.you ever trid to get an orangutan to sit down for 20-30 hours lol.what do you mean banana trees lol.i have took it to the framer.i left it to him how he frames it with an incert.he normaly knows what will work

I read an article today about the future being brighter for Orang-Utans ... Malaysia is to ban companies from planting palm oil and other crops near the rivers in a large area of Borneo Island to preserve the habitat ..
The Government of the eastern Sabah state plans to start enforcing land laws to forbid the clearing of forests along the rivers over the next three years ..
they will have to leave at least 110 yards wide strip on each side of the rivers so animals could move between forested areas ..
Dosn't seem much . But at least it's a start ..

ow thats brilliant amy i hope your well and elly is still protecting you xx a step in the right direction is brilliant as it means people are becomming aware which means its in fact a massive step realy.i am going to make sure its an even bigger step.im going to concentrate on orangs .ive bean thinking about it.i have drawn more of them than anything and though i love all animals i have a real soft spot for them.£25 is winging its way to monkey world as we speak take care and thanx again xx

Re: banana frame, Leigh. I was teasing a bit, but I did frame an island print with a wide tan on beige banana/ tropical leaf pattern matte. Some frame borders are carved with bamboo or palm type designs, so I just was thinking about carrying the theme further in the frame.
