A great find - shame I dont live there anymore

Its been many years since I emigrated to England from Central Scotland and long before I was interested in the garden (unless it was a beer garden). So it was strange to be struggling to find a decent garden centre in an area I grew up in trying to buy some stuff for my mothers garden.
It was looking like a waste of time trying to find simple items like a purple Phlox after stopping off at several places with no success until I found an oasis in the desert.
Just a few miles out of Broxburn is a fantastic place called Binny Plants where I not only managed to find the basic perennials for my mother that were proving elusive elsewhere, but also managed to find 4 plants that were on my list following a visit to Hidcote Manor that were proving hard to find.
What a result !! – loads of choice, extremely helpful staff, good prices and the wonderful sight of over 150 (their claim) different types of Peony in bloom.
They can be found here : http://www.binnyplants.com/index.asp and do mail order too.

It's nice to find something unusual. I'm glad you found somewhere to supply them to you.

It's so good to find what you want for a change paul ... I did that this year with a Bacopa ... I had it in white but couldn't track down a coloured one for ages. Good for you for giving your GC a plug!

I am a great fan of Binny Plants, and am able to visit easily. Like many private nurseries, they carry plant varieties impossible to find in GCs.
