What another odd ‘weather’ week it’s been in the garden. Torrential rain and high winds, reaching Gale-Force strength, threatened to, not only send my garden hammock into outer space but, batter many plants beyond recognition :-(
Luckily, after a hurried, rain dodging race around the garden, staking and dispensing words of encouragement to trembling plants, peace was restored.
Today the sun is out and, thankfully, the wind has decided to create havoc elsewhere :-)
Even the fish, in the ponds, are poking their heads out from under the slowly emerging lily-pads. Wonderful!!
Is it just me, or are colours more vibrant and perfumes more ‘heady’ after rain? Whatever the answer I find it quite magical.
Time to take a few more pics I think.

Penny you make me laugh, I have a mental image of your hammock creating havoc in the garden, we had rain last Thursday but since then the winds blown it away again and its as dry as ever, my Honeysuckle is just coming out and if it rains now the scent will be amazing, as will the rest of the garde, you are so right about the weather, its gone wacky...

Glad things have settled down for you. I agree about the colours and fragrances after a rain.
