Stipa gigantea.

Need to get one of these, gorgeous.

Lovely, especially the way you can see through it to the garden beyond.

They make good specimen plants, but they do take up lot of space.

Can they stand damp conditions?

Dawn - I just checked in my RHS book, and I think the answer is 'No'. Mine thrives in the driest bed in the garden, and the book says 'full sun, well-drained soil'.

Lovely plant Spritz. I have one which I bought before I realised how big a clump they made and am now trying to decide where to move it to.
