Superb picture Flcrazy the leaves look almost metalic and make a wonderful backdrop for the very pretty butterfly.

Thanks everyone !
I grow these annuals from seed Louise.
I should mention, that there are two different plants in this pic. One is a tithonia bloom, and the large metallic leaf in the background is a red caster bean tree, just encase anyone is interested in growing these beauties themselves.
LOL... Toto, you are sharp as a tack my man ! Very clever.

Brilliant picture as always, you are so lucky to have such magnificent butterflys in your garden. A very good composition.

Once long ago and far away...(30 odd years ...and at my home in Muskoka) I planted Tithonia near the parents septic bed...lol....
They grew as tall as the maples! They were wonderful specimens...Love that flower but I've been able to grow them that big again! This picture is a wonder! I just love it. may I use it as my screen saver?

Lori I would feel privileged if you used this as your screen saver, you don't ever have to ask friend ! If you don't have any seeds bvought already let me know and I 'll send you some of mine. I also have seeds that put off some tithonia plants with variegated foliage and yellow flowers, I've never seen this one for sale. Just one of those wonderful, freak accidents that just happens on rare occasions.
