Lovely. Why do you call him Bilbo? Is it because you keep him in a hole in the garden?

We used to have two Westies so different in personality Bobby suffered with various skin ailments & could be very aggresive to other people, whilst Charlie a retired stud dog was so lovely & relaxed however if ever me & the Mrs argued he would stand by her & give me a look as if to say just watch it you!

Bilbo can be a little monster, but he is very sweet,he doesnt like you to touch his feet, very difficult to trim his nails and he is very embarrassing at the groomers.

Hope you dont mind me adding my doggy tale or should that be tail ?
We used to take both dogs to the groomer but would get Bobby with bits uncut & were told so many times we did what we could but.....so eventually I bought some clippers & cut him myself
Charlie used to be called Old Chalkie by the breeder who owned him even locked up in a cage he was so happy (maybe it was all the lady dogs) he would not stop shaking when we drove him home & he was terrified of the outdoors at first anyway - we took him to be groomed & the person told us of for allowing his claw to grow so long, that is until I reminded them up until a few days before he was their dog, the word money machine came to my mind he was a fine dog & so much for being a macho man I broke down in tears when he was put to sleep.

thank you for sharing your doggy tail.breeding dogs do get a raw deal dont they.its very sad.Bobby and Charlie were lucky to have you.westies are very sweet but cheeky with it.its terrible when you have to have your pet put to sleep,i had to have my two collies PTS just before christmas last year.it felt as though my heart had been ripped out.a bit dramatic but true.

Yes non dog lovers dont understand in fact I didn't want another dog only my other 1/2 kept on & on so I gave in.
We had both forgotten what hard work it is owning a puppy there seemed to be wee & poo everywhere so I was moaning away one day when she said "actually I didn't want a dog either but I knew how lonely you were since we lost Charlie & wanted him for you"......

how lovely of your other half, pups are very demanding but so worth it,you end up with so many lovely memories, they are like fluffy children in a way.arent we daft!

Oohhh..., he's soooo handsome ! My mother used to raise westies. They are the best little vole and mole hunters I've ever seen. I believe it was in their genes.
