I've been collecting plants for shade, to replace the dreaded Comfrey! This pretty one grows to a height of 20 cm and flowers from spring to autumn!

Oooohhh....not all of it, Ian, but I've called a halt for the moment. I just can't face any more yet!

Maybe small Spritz but it packs some punch flowering for all that time.

Better to pace yourself than wear yourself out. Good luck with round two :~))

Ha ha Ian. I agree totally, wish I could be the same, if I get something into my head I cant rest until the job is done.

I think I must be on round 6 or 7 by now, Ian! The wretched stuff was everywhere when we came here. I took 12 barrowloads out of my 'hot' border, just as an example. :-(

Oh He.... Oh dear thats alot. :~((

Just a thought but what about a flame thrower?

The comfrey must just love your conditions, I have a couple of clumps that never amount to very much., lucky me!

Too late now, Ian! the rest is either under shrubs, or in very difficult places to reach. I may have to leave some. At least it has pretty flowers in early spring!
Dawn - yours may be a different cultivar. At the Nursery I went to today, they had two kinds - a gold/green variegated one, and another I walked past...I do have one that I like very much - my friend gave me a piece of hers, and it's tall, not nearly so bristly, and has beautiful bright blue flowers - it does spread, but it's not invasive.

Don't you just hate it when people come up with ideas when its to late? :~))

I don't think my husband would be too happy with me wielding a lethal weapon!

Ahh you see, thats a mans 'toy' so he would have to do it himself. One way of getting him out in the garden Lol :~))

He's got too much else to do, Ian - gardening is my 'hobby'...:-)

Lol :~))

Spritz, Looks like I have the less invasive one then, thanks for that.
Poor husband seems as busy as you. Like mine, he's always very busy with his own stuff, the garden is all mine, just as I like it.

True. It would be very difficult if we were both gardeners and we disagreed, say on colours...

Very true, the men are handy though when something is too heavy or hard to reach, shhhhh hope isnt Toto isnt around, lol.

My husband will build the boxes for my garden. As long as power tools are involved, he's happy to help. But I can't get him to water, much less play in the dirt!

That's about it here, too - he cuts the grass and builds things...oh, and climbs up to cut a very tall hedge we have - with a powerful petrol hedge trimmer!... I can't climb ladders.... no, really! :-(

I dont like ladders either, I'm scared of heights, like my feet firmly on the ground.

I'm not afraid of heights, it's the falling I don't like. :-P hehe No, really, I make my hubby do all the ladder work too.
