Dont even think of checking on the raspberries

nasty wasp, just had one in the house eileen, i just freek out lol

up until now i have seen very few but the last few days there have been loads in the garden andddddd in the house

same here eileen, and i really dont like them, i just ruunnnn

Busiest time for them end of July is wasp week once had 3 nests in the garden and my dear mother bless her would make jam traps filling jam jars with water and jam and making a slit through greaseproof paper.

Then she would hang them all round the garden think I was about 20 before I realised flies were not black and yellow and they didnt all sting !

your mother could have made a fortune BB. nowadays folk but wasp traps and they really are nothing more than what your mother made

I hate Wasps!

She never realised Eileen that she was inviting every marauding wasp from miles around into our small garden every year she would say I dont think I ve ever seen so many wasps as this year.

Oh I get used to them PP having been stung by hornets give me wasps any day ! Although hornets initially more tolerant if disturbed they release a chemical which tells others nest is under threat so will attack in a swarm ..hence the saying stirring up a hornets nest.

Didnt hang around to test that theory ...

I'm not too keen on wasps either but it's a great photo.

Last year we had some wasps nests in the garden and in the loft . they were coming down into the hall and airing cupboard .. Tony disturbed one in the compost bin last year and came running in covered in them he had been stung several times .. I haven,t seen too many yet this year ....

we have loads out in the garden this morning, all down by the hutch and the fruit trees :-(

I do NOT like wasps! I'm definitely not as brave as you are, Eileen - I couldn't take a photo of one!
