Thanks Morgana Yes it has added a spot of bright colour, just hope they survive in my garden, planted one a couple of years ago and it disappeared but thought I 'd give them another go!

This has happened to me too , so I was advised by Andrew for them to over winter to place a little bit of fine gravel for dranage as they dont like boggy earth.

Make sure you put the grit or gravel just under the bulb.

Thanks Sandra just got this feelining just as much as I love lilies so do all the night ceatures in my garden smacking their lips!

Oh no...the snails have not really bothered mine at all..or any other pest (so sorry to brag)..but i have had some probs with aphids! I'm posting a pic in a bit.
