Lovely pic - how do you get your lysimachia to stand so straight? Mine have taken to sprawling. (It is lysimachia, isn't it?)

Yes it is Lysmachia and mine sprawl too, Ive just put a few canes inbetween and rope them round with string!

Wished I'd thought of that before - they're starting to take over so will have to be contained. It's too late to do that now - they'd just look silly.

Yes you are better doing it early, but arent they lovely and bright and flower for so long to!

It's the sort of job I'm sure I thought I'd remember to do this year, when they flopped over last year (if you see what I mean!).

I have one living upstairs in my aviary room PP, he was brought to me as a tiny baby caught by a cat, so I raised him up, twice I took him down to release him and each time he wouldn't go, just followed me back, that was 5 years ago, he always lives on the floor of the room with Mr and Mrs Q, my two tiny Chinese Quails, they all sleep curled up with each other....:o)

Thats a lovely story your Dove must be Happy and safe with you and your Chinese Quails, Never seen these birds before have you a picture?
