Me too love the colour, does this go by the name of Lads Love or am I getting it mixed up with another plant?

This is very attractive. Is it the one with sap with causes blisters on skin in sunlight? I had a rue years ago and asked my son in law to dig out a dead shrub near it. His arm was covered in huge blisters and he ended up at the hospital being photographed by the Microbiologist for training purposes! He did forgive me :)

Thanks Eileen / PP I haven,t heard it called that PP , it might be I don,t know !
Gee I,ve been to get a piece and rubbed it between my fingers and there's no sap coming out at all it,s quite dry , that's very strange . Has he tried touching it since then , ? probably not .
Did they find that it was the course , my husband use to get something called Nettle rash ( nothing to do with nettles ) he use to have large weels and blisters over his body like your son for no real reason .! he isn,t allowed to give blood because of it ......

It was definitely the rue that caused the problem, Amy, but it was the combination of the rue and bright sunlight (see Google). Alan Titchmarsh apparently recommended that people stick it inside their shirts to keep away flies while gardening and there was a 'rash' (excuse the pun) of cases! I worked in the Public Health Laboratories at the time which is how my son in law became a 'specimen' :)
