Sums it up, Madperth!
Always amazed at how immediate is the response here, no matter the hour! :-)
I always look forward to late July into August to see the hills come alive with the purple heather!

Yep, makes it good to be Scottish, eh?
Did you get to the beach?

Sorry, Mad, but Calluna vulgaris is common throughout uplands in the Uk, Ireland and Europe. Did you mean the "Lucky White" variety,a bit like the 4-leaved clover?
Yes, thanks, the beach was fab, and the weather forecast correct (for once). Our "local" beach is the one in the movie "Chariots of Fire" where the runners splash their way round, what is,the West Sands, St Andrews Bay. Now, this, makes me feel real Scottish - LOL! :-)

:~)) ! For some VERY odd reason I got that stupid song in my head about the purple of the heather! I think it's called "Come Along".
I've been to West Sands before, years ago. My local beach as a kid was Potobello, but that's not what the locals call it! Lol!

Thanks for the likes. What are you doing, up at this time of day/night, lol?
I'm not long home from work, and am just "unwinding". I hate coming home and going straight to bed. :-)
