Thanks to Paulthe gardener...I've found out what these really are....Jerusalem Artichoke or Helianthus tuberosus...not Rudbeckia Goldsturm! Thanks Paul....:o)

I bet yours is right Paul.....I wonder which these are then...they were here when we came, but do take over unless I keep digging them out.

Are they definitely Rudbeckias.Don't get me wrong, I'm not an expert but they look very similar to Heliopsis to me although there are many different kinds of Rudbeckia!

Thanks Amy and San......and Paul...I wonder if they are Heliopsis...there are so many types of sun-loving flowers, for late summer....I'll have a look on Google.....:o)

Great....I've found them Paul, and they're Helianthus tuberosus, identical flower,
common name Jerusalem Artichoke....fancy that! All this time I've called them Rudbeckias, but I'm pleased I've found out what they really are, and we can eat the tubers, instead of throwing them out....Lol! Shall amend the pic now....:o)
