She's found the pond and today she took her first dip! (Couldn't get the camera fast enough to catch her in the water)

Thanks Louise - this is the pond area out in the courtyard. I was tickled pink to find out that the duck had spotted a little hole to crawl through under that lattice at the back and got access to that little pond you can just see.

Yes makes it look like a pond with a ducks approval have you fish it the pond?

Yes Morgana - it's an old spa converted into a large fish tank. There's thousands of little fancy-tailed guppies in there - hope they don't get too frightened by this new visitor.

Lovely pic - planting looks incredibly English, somehow, barring one or two.

Thanks Bamboo - yes I suppose it does look a lot like an English garden with all those annuals. I grow these to provide much needed colour - most of our hardy plants here in the dry tropics tend to be sooooo... green!

Wonderful pond area with all that beautiful planting too, no wonder your Ducky is going in for a dip, who could resist it!

What a beautiful area, so pretty.

Thanks all - the pots of annuals placed in with the other plants have certainly added some great colour.

Hi Homebird - this corner of our courtyard is a built-up garden bed with an old spa in the middle. The trellis is on two sides and there are steps to the left out of the photo that come down from the driveway. I always have candles in this area and it does look fantastic at night.

So silly isn't it - you assume people see it the way you see it every day, forgetting of course that it's not familiar to anyone but you!

This is gorgeous Berneih - I love all the plants round the pond - I can just imagine what it looks like all lit up at night.

It does look terrific with the night lights and candles out there - it's a great area to have a meal and a few drinks with friends and family!
