will soon grow, did you put any feed in the ground when you moved it, i use chicken manure pellets

No I didn't but I could now! I did dig the bed to 18" & mix the clay soil with sand & loads of compost, & all the plants were put in "pools" of the compost!

Very well done MP. Ali is keen to get a scented rose in the garden here at some point but doing what you have and seeing that you were successful must be extremely rewarding!

With regards to the lavender you asked about a few days back....remember?

Well, Ali bought seeds but doesn't know the variety. Not sure if she still got packet but she is off from today so will see if she still has it, although don't hold out much hopes!

No worries! I have some french lavender that I want to get seed from. Someone else called it Spanish, but it's the one with the funny head with what klooks like a tiny butterfly on the top! If I get the seeds before the birds do I'll send you some!

Thanks for that. It sounds like the one I've already got, Lavandula Stoechas Alexandra - Butterfly Lavender, that I planted in that reclaimed scuttle.

Not sure though...

Dammit! I just went out to check the garden, & the rain yesterday was so heavy, the petals have started to fall off my rose!! :~((( It only opened on saturday!
On the upside, my tatties are sprouting & my lily has opened. The rain-bucket is full too- I emptied it on Saturday night! :~}
