I bought this last year but it looks nothing like the photos of what it's supposed to look like - any ideas?

That looks like a self-sown carex to me - get it out before it seeds everywhere :-(

It looks like the wild rushes that grow on these mountains around here. I'd get rid of it like Andrew sais before it takes over your garden.

I bought it from a "well Known firm" so I've e-mailed the photos to them and asked for their advice! - hopefully they will replace with the real thing!!!

Their replacement arrived - and looks like it should - they think the other is some kind of "sedge"

I have the Japanese blood grass (cylindrica rhubra,red baron) but it looks nothing like this.Not sure what yours is but someone will help I'm sure :)
I think they must have got the labels mixed up :(
