Butterfly

Not entirely sure Spritz. Certainly looks as though it may be.

I'm not going to say it looks like a flutterby to me but it does...... :~))

I had to look right through my butterfly book to find out! I can't see any other that it might be.

Could be one of the Meadow Browns Spritz......looks like she's ready for a rest.....

Certainly looks as though she's had a rough time of it, poor thing.

Well, whatever his/her name is, he/she had a good feed before taking off agan!

Lovely pic Spritz. I have noticed that with all the Flutterbys I have taken pics of, the ends of their wings are very tattered, wonder if it is the strong winds we have been having.

I think all the others I've taken photos of have been OK - but this one could easily have been bashed about by that wind...:-(

Definitely a bit frayed around the edges - sign of age I should think. Join the club, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, whatever your name is.

perhaps he's been buffeted by a storm....or could have nearly been a birds dinner?... or a cat's toy? Amazing that they are so resilient and strong for something so small and lovely.
