They're sitting right at the top of the verandah wall near the ceiling - I guess it must be the coolest spot right now. There's about six green frogs in various corners of our verandah - all way up high like these two. Disturbed a tree snake just the other day that was sliding up the wall trying to get one!

Just in the nick of time then or that would have been frogs legs for lunch, for the snake !

Aw cute...don't let Hissin' Sid get them...:0(

Thankfully they had a lucky escape ... this time!

Eeeek to the snake on the verandah wall, cute frogs but not sure about overhead hope they've got sticky feet!

Homebird - these fellows can climb but it takes them a while to get up there. When they want to come down they simply turn and let go and there's an almighty thump as they hit the verandah floor! I often wonder if they get hurt .. but it doesn't look like it.

Oh grief that was what I was afraid of - them just dropping off. I'll look at my ground based frogs with a little more appreciation from now on!!!!!

Neellan - you and me both. I'm not a fan of frogs and that's why ... I've had quite a few just land on me from seemingly out of nowhere! Hubbie thinks it's hilarious ... my antics are apparently quite entertaining when frogs jump on me!!

Oh Bernieh poor you! my antics would no doubt be much like yours!! oh the thought is enough!!

They sometimes get into the house ... which causes me to fly out the door at a rate of knots! I've even had one land on my face while sleeping in bed! Horrendous!!

Oh Bernieh it gets worse I squirmed in my chair just reading that!!
and I fly round the room with a cobweb brush (or anything to hand) if there is so much as a wee spider on the ceiling! Oh gee Bernieh that is some price to pay for your beautiful plants and gorgeous birds!!

I had one of those fellas (bright green one about the size of a orange) sitting in a camp site toilet bowl.

Good flycatchers.

They are excellent flycatchers ... that's why I put up with them!
No seriously... Neellan they are usually not so annoying. They usually do their thing outdoors ... it's just if we leave the screen doors slightly ajar, they can pop in. That is one of the prices we do pay to live in this spot ... you must have all windows and doors screened to keep out unwanted insects and slimy things!
Garden fool - we've had one in our toilet bowl as well. Again it was a situation of someone leaving the door ajar!

Oh ok then maybe I'd like them too as flycatchers you've won me over so long as they're the other side of screen :o))

And I was scared of a little praying mantis!!!!!!! Good Lord I think I would have a freakin heart attack if something like that ever landed 2 FEET from me let alone ON ME!

I won't mention the other sorts of creepy crawlies we see around here then!!

seriously, I think you'd have to scrape ME off the ceiling! My boys would have loved it though..once the older one brought a white rat in a cage into the house (in the basement) & wasn't going to let me know about it until I asked him what the smell was down there!
