Millet???

This is one of the 4' high plants I had for £1 each at the BBC Gardeners World Show, a man standing behind me with a lot of them told me what it was. The seed or whatever it is, is soft and fluffy.

Nor mine, I wonder if it turns to millet seeds when all the fluff has gone off LOL. I hope it doesn't disperse all over the garden and I disappear in a jungle of millet............:o(
