Can you see the Katydid ?

Is that what you call them, I had to look closely, but I see him........

I looked them up, and it said the British English called them bush crickets....Is that right ?

Someine recently posted a bush cricket on here and I thought it looked a lot like our katydid... Great shot here FC :)

Yes Tastey. I posted a pic of a Bush Cricket the other day but this, we would know as a Grasshopper. When I have a little time later today or tomorrow I'll look him up to see which one he is.

We have two types of Katydids here where I live, the other one has a higher crest on it's back .

Yes Sue and Davey, wouldn't it be great to be able to blend in that well when necessary. I'd never have to pay another bill collector as long as I live...lol

Flcrazy thats definatley what I have got in my garden!!! It's a brill pic but i can hardly bear to look at it, they scare me. I had one on my leg last year when i was weeding on the slope wearing shorts. I nearly broke my leg jumping off to get away. Silly eh ? :-)))))

Lol...,no it's not silly Annella, as I've done exactly the same thing, only it was a spider....lol. I nearly dislocated my knee from shaking my leg so hard trying to get it off of me...;-)
