I have looked up a. vitifolia and I see what you mean, the leaves are not dissimilar even. does this anemone grow wild where you live?

No...it doesn't. The flowering happens in this month...I have posted some pics today itself

That is so pretty, is it the annual Lavatera? only I have the annual one which I grew from seed, yours looks smaller and more dainty and Im afraid my as almost finished flowering now.

Pansy, its full name is L. thuringiaca ice cool syn L. peppermint ice (RHS encyc). Its about 5' high although being upright it doesn't take up much room. Book says it is a herb. perennial, I always thought it a sub shrub, it does disappear in winter though. Its flowers are about 2" or so :-)

That looks lovely - and not as thuggish as some of the other lavatera. Very pretty. I'm going to look out for that one.

Hi Mw, I'm going to try collecting seed as someone on here (must find out who) wants some and you're welcome to some if I manage it. Not sure when as they're still in flower, but as I started with one and now have four (three self seeded) i know the seed is good, although I have had it many years so not a self seeding problem:-) I've just looked at my blog "keeping up the good work" and found out it is Lily who wants some seed, there are more pics of it on that:-)

If you can spare any - I would absolutely love some. That's really kind of you to offer as well. I have a space that could do with a nice tall plant and this could be the plant to fill it! ;-)))

Righty ho, I'll keep checking if there's any seed :-)
