Very nice San.
Just emptied our baskets that had winter bedding in from a year ago when we first moved in!! Lasted all summer so wasn't going to waste money buying summer while these ones lasted so long!!
The baskets were left by the previous owners and are very old but I will use them next year for strawbs and toms I think so as not to chuckem and then treat myself to a couple of new baskets for planting.
Love this one though.
Thanks for the fuschia cutting as well. A really nice gesture:0)

hi Dan good idea with your baskets, im going to try trailing toms next year so will do the same as mine at the fron as getting a bit shabby,
hope the fuchsia does ok, dont worry if leaves drp its because its sleeping time and will shoot again next year, dont over water, keep more on the dry side i was told, but some water, glad your happy with it and your welcome :o)

Yes I love Ivy too.......I have some growing in the garden San and when it trails too far, I pullit off complete with suckers and still it in a tub, in a couple of weeks its rooted....:o)
15 Sep, 2009
I do like ivy, I've got 2 different ones on either side of a trough I planted. they are quite big now, about 4/5 years old. I have no pictures of them...must have a go at getting one!
15 Sep, 2009
Never been a fan of the old Ivy but Ali sings it praises....since we put some by the pond and the spare from a tub of 4, by the trellis on the path, I'm beginning to soften to it, I must admit!!
15 Sep, 2009
we have a dark green ivy at the back of the trees, covers a mulitude of sins lol, think its holding the fence up lol, i noticed another climber there to with flowers about to come, not sure what it is, will have to take a pic, might be elderberry maybe,, im always chopping the ivy back as it spreads across the ground janey
potty , yes try get some pics would like to see it :o))
