Rich low tapestry ...

There are two types of Sedums here, both of which look virtually as good in the winter as in the summer. A plum coloured Ajuga,- and an Aibes and a Fescue grass which also look just as good in the winter. Arum berries are in the background. I am attempting to create a permanent, 12 month per year, very low growing rich tapestry of perennial colour and textures,- all the lovlier in dappled pools of sunlight. In November I will add also some Black Lilyturf (Ophiopogon). I feel this collection is developing excitingly well, and I wonder if others might find inspiration in it. Quite low maintainence also, it should all just take care of itself.

I'm glad you like. It is actually in a very big clay pot and some 2 ft wide half barrel tubs, what people call container gardening.
