This is my mams garden and everything I have planted grows really well
It's only had a bit of blood fish and bone and it is very fertile
I'm glad my mams late partner kept it well before I had the chance to grow a few things here
nice asters and rudbeckia for my mams vases 2 :)

I can imagine your mother having some pretty flowers indoors from these garden beds... The soil must be good...as you say, you've not added a lot to it...
Sounds like your mother's late partner worked hard to make the garden look lovely, and you are doing a great job keeping the borders so attractive. :o)

I did my nanas veg garden when I was a kid for a year
Weeds don't get left out of the picture today
Clover is amazing for veg :)
