Aconitum

Aconitum (Aconitum carmichaelii)

Very tall plants, which don't seem to mind being in shade at the back of the wide border.

they do set seed and you can split the plant in the spring and i think you can take cuttings as you would delphiniums.

I shall try splitting S as nothing but ladies mantle and willow herb seem to self seed in my garden!

Everone has been telling me that their Alchemilla seeds everywhere, and mine did in Kent, but never here until this year! I was looking at the one Godetia, and there are several baby Alchemilla there!

I shall have a go at cuttings in the spring, Sbg. Thanks, Mageth, I might try splitting too... there are enough of them there to have a go!
