what a superb sight. One of my regrets was not to have planted fruit trees when we first moved onto the site. I was worried they would get damgaed by diggers & dumpers etc so decided to wait. As it happens there would have been no problem....Happy munching!

thats a shame Garden fool, but you will have them in soon,my pear as been in about ten years it will never grow massive, but its big enough for my garden.my two apple trees are up against my fence,so dont take up too much room.if i was you i would have loads of fruit trees, the more the merrier i would say.ive got sunset and red devil apples both are quite tasty.

You got me looking forward even more to the delivery of 4 fruit trees due in Nov. I ordered them in June choosen by our 7yr old as his birthday present. I was delighted, not only did the wee lad want a fruit tree instead some loud, flashing battery powered plastic toy but he was happy to wait until 6 months after his birthday to recieve it! (Long may it continue...ummmm I think thats probably hoping for a wee bit too much)
I've ordered four trees, 2 apple (Cox's & Braeburn) a Conference pear and a Victoria plum (from Van Meuwen) so it'll be fingeres crossed for the next few years.
