Really nice Spritzhenry, will it damage the roof?

Nooooo....no probs! The strands were a lot longer - but my husband got fed up with them brushing his head, so he cut them shorter! Boo!!

Beautiful, but dare I say, I love your garage more.
3 Oct, 2009
My husband considers it HIS territory, Dawn! lol.
3 Oct, 2009
Hmmmm, my husband is the same with ours Spritz. That's fine, we have the garden and they have the garage, fair play. lol
3 Oct, 2009
True....but he does have a workshop as well - he's very lucky!

Beautiful colour reminds me of the story I was told as a child at 5 of the garage that was covered in Nastutiums on a sunny day, from a distance it looked as though it was on fire, so they called the fire brigade and when they arived they found it was the glow of the nastutiums which were glowing with colour with the sun on them, made it look as though the garage was on fire.

Gorgeous Barbara! What a lovely sight!

Went out, got carried away, but, did take tthe photo but the file is too big, will try tomorrow on another setting.
Your shed is far too lovely to cover!!
4 Oct, 2009
Shed? shed?? That's the garage, Dd!! My husband woud have a fit if he heard you call it a shed! LOL.
Can you crop the photo to get it loaded?
4 Oct, 2009
It looks stunning..........
4 Oct, 2009
:-))

So sorry Spritz thought it was a very posh shed!!! if you crop it it makes the file larger still.......will alter the setting on the camera, watch this space!!!
4 Oct, 2009
We don't 'do' posh, Dd!! Our shed is wooden and boring...lol.
I see - you had it set on better quality, did you? I did that, and the photos wouldn't load. When I cropped one, it did, though! Strange??
5 Oct, 2009
Tried cropping mine it made it much larger.......my photographer friend told me the more you do to a photo the larger the file becomes, so I never alter my photos if I can help it.
5 Oct, 2009
You should be able to resize it, DD2 - have you got a manipulate setting or similar - its usually one of the options under there, 920 x 920 should be fine.
Love this pic, its the only time I like these plants, Spritz

Bamboo have had another look at my photo, have now returned it to its original size of 2.4.....cropping had increased it to 3.2, as a rule I have no trouble unless I use the bigger lens.
6 Oct, 2009
What you need is an ordinary little one like mine! Haha.
( I'd like a better camera, really, I'm just jealous, Dd.)
7 Oct, 2009
There's a difference between cropping and resizing, though, DD2 - If you crop, you get the same number of pixels in the original photo, but in a smaller space - if you resize, it just shrinks it all.
7 Oct, 2009
Bamboo opened it in Photoline and did a jpeg compression,.....loaded no problem, it is now sideways on? can you tell why this has happened? I could do with a Masterclass in photography, fantastic camera rubbish owner lol
7 Oct, 2009
I hope that question is meant for Bamboo, Dd!!
That's why I have a non-techie camera!
7 Oct, 2009
Yes it was Spritz.....dont panic lol
7 Oct, 2009
PHEW!! Thanks!! :-))
8 Oct, 2009
Bamboo........found it in preview, you can adjust size and colour, still finding out how to do things on the Mac...lol
8 Oct, 2009
That's a stunning colour against the stonework!
11 Oct, 2009
I reckon you could create a beautiful painting of it, Antigone! :-))
11 Oct, 2009
I'd give it a good try! Never confident I can do justice to nature's excellence - if you let plants go where they will not only do they do well but they create the perfect picture themselves - even dandelions but maybe not bindweed.... although whats in a name its same as morning glory but white!
12 Oct, 2009
DD2 - thank heavens you've found it - I had no idea what the answer was to your "sideways" query....;-))
12 Oct, 2009
Lovely colour Barbara!
Virginia Creeper is a Beautiful vine, it's a shame it gets bad press, maybe it's a marmite plant! you either love it or hate it.
There is no problem as they have little sticky pads that just stick onto things, if they grow you just trim them back, job done!
