No Sid, it's very easy to grow, only requirements that I'm aware of are, well drained soil,and afternoon shade.! It's natural habitat is a woodland garden setting.

We had the little wild flower "Adder tongues" all over the place...those and a trailing wild flower we called " May Flowers" but was a type of arbutus (I think) These are amazing ...look like super "adder tongues"
