Its unusual with the green marking on the petals

That's what I've got on the obelisk in my new bed - it's still flowering....so yes, I agree! A very long flowering time. :-)

The NGS County Organiser has a HUGE one in her garden - I reckon she doesn't prune it......hmmmm.....it's a group 3 - so she should.....
21 Oct, 2009

You must be joking! If you'd met the lady, you'd understand that comment.......

I've only seen them on tv and I certainly wouldn't argue with any of them :~o

If you watched all the programmes, you'll have seen her - several times!

Oooh! I don't know that one, Karen!
12 Mar, 2010
Ah well, there's a pic of it on my page...
12 Mar, 2010
Off I go to look! :-)))
12 Mar, 2010
I've not seen that one either, just looked at your picture, it's lovely, is it a good grower too?
13 Mar, 2010
Yes grindle, exactly the same except the colour.
13 Mar, 2010
Right - I'm looking oit for that one, Karen - where have you gone, by the way? LOL.
13 Mar, 2010
Hello! I'm back! Whisky glass beside me...really getting sick of it now, but it's the only thing that stops me coughing! Did you find the photo?
13 Mar, 2010
Yes, indeedy...love it. I WANT one! Poor you - aren't you well?
Who's that on your pic??
13 Mar, 2010
Thats Molly, she thinks I've lost her lead! Hopefully get back to our long walks on Monday once the coughing stops! I'm a bit better today thanks! ;)) and we had lovely warm sunshine here today - most of the hellebores are really coming good and the crucuses really opened up prettily to greet the sun!

YAYY!! I bet that lifted your spirits!
I've been tracking down your Clem...and several nurseries have it listed - so if one of my local 'haunts' hasn't got it, I shall order one! :-))))
13 Mar, 2010
I need one too :)))))))
15 Mar, 2010
We'll have to compare notes as to where to get them, Grindle....I'll let you know if I track them down. :-))
15 Mar, 2010
I've found one in Truro, still a bit far to drive though Roseland House Garden and Nursery, they hold the national collection of Viticella
15 Mar, 2010
I went off hunting today - no luck, although a 'real' Nursery that you probably know has said they'll try to track one down. They're not very hopeful, unfortunately.
16 Mar, 2010
we have a Plant Heritage sale tomorrow in Tavistock, I'll have to see if anyone there knows, failing that, the clematis society will be at Malvern in May, they should be able to help
20 Mar, 2010
Good thinking! :-0)))))
Karen told me Taylor's have it, but of course they want £10 p&p.
