Lol ... can imagine. That's one thing I love about them - that fantastic noise they make when they're blowing in the wind.

Isn't that the truth! In California Pampas grass in on major pest weed list. To remove them they are usually burned to the ground and then some type of stump poison is used...in many cases it still doesn't kill it. LOL!

Good grief chopped,set on fire and poisoned and still lives,well if it can survive that it deserves to live in my book. No worries about footballs from kids then....:o)))

This beautiful plant presents the same problem over here - it's classed as a noxious weed especially in bushland where it is a huge fire hazard. It's a very aggressive colonizer and, as Delonix says, almost impossible to kill.

Bernieh, here it grows along with Eucalyptus...I would assume just like in Australia...and yes, it's a huge fire hazard along with Eucalytpus.
