This Bottle Tree is very rare in cultivation here...and even called the "Million Dollar Tree" at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken Oct. 12, 2009.

Actually, the trunk is very different. Baobab trees have hallow trunks which can store water and grow to enormous proportions.
The trunk on this tree is only fatter in the middle section
of the trunk...I'll have to take a photo of the lower part of the trunk. You may be able to find some good photos on the internet...which show the whole trunk. : > )

the trunk is very much like a baobab. Million dollar tree..? like the million dollar man? something that valuable would have come from a very wealthy donor, right?
