This tree is a common sight in my city - it has a large spreading canopy and right now these trees are in full bloom. Those feathery-looking things are the blooms.

Thanks Michaella - it's a shame I couldn't get a shot of the whole tree but it's behind other very tall trees ... seeing the full canopy in bloom is a great sight.
