about 10-15 cm high..? could it be a white dead nettle? the bees just loving it

It does look like the wild nettles in the lane nearby, but they have blue flowers. It is pretty.

That probably means I was seeing things, Deida :) When I next go up the lane I'll have a look to see if its still there. It was probably something completely different!!

Wandered up the lane and can't see anything like it at all!! It will remain a mystery - unless it reappears next year :)

Definitely a lamium I would say Deida, not sure if a cultivated one though:-)
