The southgate fuschia came in, Sept 6 to show how behind I am.....lol. Still going strong, but they tend to stop when I move them inside.

Oh, there isn't less light indoors at my house Balcony. I have a 400watt high pressure sodium lamp hanging from the ridgepole on timer for a good 15 hour day. It just loses the blooms from moving. Usually the fuschias will flower one more time, or I can put them on the cool floor and they will sleep till next year.

Ah, in that case they probably will keep on flowering! Good luck to you & keep us posted on how they get on, it should be very interesting. I've never tried to keep them flowering over the winter. My baskets of Fuchsias have been in the interior of the balcony for several weeks now &, although they only get light from one direction, they are still looking good!
I took some very close up photos of the individual flowers a few days ago as I had thought of making up a blog with these photos but I've become "side tracked" by my own webpages that needed updating & this takes up a lot of time!

I'll keep them flowering through November, then all take a sleep but the triphylla until February. Good performers are the uprights. Hanging fuschias tend to get spindly very quickly and don't seem to like this treatment much, though the swingtime gets through just about anything. The triphylla enjoy hotter temps and more sun so that will go right through, mine is Gartenmeister, looks just like one, Thalia, sold over there.
I understand about the webpages time. Even just a blog here takes a toll on me.

Have you got a photo of the triphylla that you could upload? I'd like to see another.
I'm going to upload some close up shots of my Fuchsias & maybe make a blog as well. I've had in mind at least three blogs but with my webpages I don't seem to find the time! :-(

Heres a link to one in my photos this year, and I should have more under fuschia gartenmiester bondstedt in my garden. Last year looked better.

With less light it's no surprise! I don't have any in the house, mine will have to survive the winter outdoors. But I have put a couple of thick plastic bags around it so anything inside should survive the winter.
