Nasturtium 2009-10-09 001 (Tropaeolum majus (Compact Nasturtium))

A lovely example of a red Nasturtium on the end of my balcony.

Yes, this is doing well. Very nice display. And potted too. I don't get them very big in a pot.

GT: It's not strictly a pot rather a deep bin & I have another at the other end of the balcony where a couple of these are growing too. One may be Alaska as it has green & white marbled foliage & I know of no other Nasturtium with variegated leaves.

A big pot is a must for them then. They go so cray here we can eat and enjoy them. Flowers hot like a radish and leaves a bit peppery. I made a nice creamy mayonaisse with them that was so fantastic. I met a woman who capers the buds as well. Real spicy.

never though about have them growing in a pot.... hummm
got an idea now :), cause they are also cute flowers

Very popular here in the UK. But one man's weed is another man's choice plant!
Most plants we grow in our gardens came originally from the wild so I suppose you could say all flowers are weeds!!!
